Visa Platinum Credit Card Complimentary Insurance

You are also entitled to Extended Warranty Insurance, which may cover you starting on the date the manufacturer’s registered written warranty expires for the same period as the manufacturer’s registered written warranty for up to a maximum of 2 years. The insurance is not available for items with a manufacturer’s registered written warranty period of over 5 years.  Extended Warranty Insurance may cover the cost of repairing or replacing covered products which has been purchased on your Visa Platinum Credit Card, in the event that the product fails or breaks down, provided you satisfy the eligibility requirements and conditions set out in the Visa Platinum Credit Card Complimentary Insurances booklet.

Rental Vehicle Excess Insurance is available if you rent a vehicle in Australia and the entire hire charge is purchased on your Visa Platinum Credit Card. If the vehicle is damaged or stolen while in your custody and an excess amount is payable, this insurance may cover the cost of the excess amount specified in your rental vehicle agreement or $2,250, whichever is the lesser, for all claims combined during the rental period. To be eligible, you must satisfy the eligibility requirements and conditions set out in the Visa Platinum Credit Card Complimentary Insurances booklet.
