Open a Term Deposit online

If you're an existing member with Heritage, you can open a new Term Deposit online.

1. Login to Heritage Online
2. Go to the Accounts menu and select Open Term Deposit Account.
3. Select the Term you would like. You can view the current rates to help you decide which term works best for you.
4. Select the account from which you would like to make the Initial Deposit and the investment amount of the deposit. 
5. Provide us Maturity Instructions. Select what you would like done with your principal when the term matures, and what you would like us to do with your interest. 

Things you should know

• In order for interest to be reinvested, the principal must also be reinvested to ensure that a minimum term deposit balance is maintained.
• The deposit amount invested may affect the interest rate that you will receive.
• Interest cannot be reinvested for terms greater than 12 months in duration.
• Term deposits opened online will be opened at the standard rate for that term, with interest to be paid at maturity for terms less than or equal to 12 months, or annually for terms greater than 12 months.
