Coming soon: Heritage introduces a new Green Personal Loan

Soon you can make your home greener with a new Heritage Green Personal Loan of up to $10,000 for a period of up to four years.

This special product is created in accordance with the Australian Government’s $175 million Green Loan scheme to allow Australians to make their homes sustainable with environmentally friendly renovations.

Heritage CEO John Minz said that Heritage is currently the largest mutual to offer a Green Personal Loan to help its members enhance the environmental productivity of their homes.

“As a result of this unique Government initiative, the loan administration fee and all interest costs will be Government subsidised, so our members can truly benefit from this product,” he said.

Heritage’s Green Personal Loans will be available from August 2009 to households with less than a combined annual income of $250,000.

Headquartered in Toowoomba, the heart of the Darling Downs, Heritage is Australia’s largest building society with more than $7 billion in total consolidated.

With a 134-year history, Heritage provides a full suite of retail and business banking products, insurance and financial planning products and services to members via Heritage products and through alliances with specialist providers.
