Heritage Bank appoints Head of Strategy Delivery

Heritage Bank has today boosted its senior management ranks with the permanent appointment of Mr Richard Claydon as Head of Strategy Delivery. 

Mr Claydon has been acting in the role since February this year and has now been permanently appointed, effective immediately. 

He has been with Heritage Bank since 2004, initially as a Programmer in the IT Department before becoming Payment Systems Manager in 2014 and most recently the Manager, Banking Operations since 2016. 

The Head of Strategy Delivery role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for ensuring delivery of the projects that will ensure Heritage meets its future goals. 

CEO Peter Lock said this was a vital role in keeping Heritage’s strategic goals on track.

 “As part of our ongoing digital transformation, we are implementing a number of complex projects,” Mr Lock said. 

“Heritage needs to ensure we have the framework and processes in place to deliver these projects effectively, and our Head of Strategy Delivery will help keep us on track and focused in the right areas. 

“It’s a key role in ensuring we evolve to meet our strategic goals. 

“I’m delighted that we have appointed an internal candidate to this role. We have many talented people at Heritage and it’s always satisfying to see them develop and grow into increasingly challenging roles.” 

Mr Claydon said he was thrilled to be stepping into the role on a permanent basis.
