The 2025 edition of the Heritage Bank annual calendar has now been launched and features a special nod to history, in honour of the organisation’s 150th anniversary year. The calendar traditionally showcases an historically significant home, painted by an artist, along with a brief story on the home’s history. This year’s calendar will be slightly different – showcasing 12 of the homes that have been featured throughout the calendar’s 43- year history. Heritage Bank merged with People’s Choice Credit Union last year to create People First Bank. The organisation is continuing to trade under the Heritage Bank brand for an interim period, and this year’s calendar retains the Heritage Bank branding. People First Bank Chief Customer Officer Maria-Ann Camilleri said the montage of previously featured homes on the calendar was a way of paying homage to the 150th anniversary of the organisation’s founding in Toowoomba. “We trace our history back to the formation of the Toowoomba Permanent Building Society in 1875, which makes 2025 our 150th anniversary year,” Ms Camilleri said. “That is an amazing milestone and we’ve decided to do something special with this year’s calendar to commemorate the occasion. “The calendar features 12 of the homes that have been featured in the past 43 years, including the very first home from 1982, the iconic Bulls Head Inn in Toowoomba. “It’s a unique approach to celebrating a very special moment in our history.” The Heritage Bank calendar has become a firm favourite with customers since it was launched in 1982. Customers make a gold coin donation to obtain a copy of the calendar, which has raised around $400,000 for charity across its history. Copies of the calendar are now available at any Heritage Bank branch in Queensland and New South Wales. It’s expected the gold coin donations will raise up to $20,000 this year, with all funds going to the People First Bank Foundation Media Enquiries Andrew Fox
