Heritage Nanango Community Branch has helped provide defibrillators to 16 community groups.

Sixteen Nanango community organisations have received the lifesaving gift of new defibrillators, thanks to a $47,990 sponsorship from Heritage Nanango Community Branch.
The lifesaving equipment was presented by the Local Ambulance Committee of Nanango (LAC) at a special handover event on 13 May. The event also included a practical training session led by Queensland Ambulance Service, Nanango, to help participants feel confident using the devices in an emergency.
Heritage Nanango Community Branch Manager Lochlan Ezzy said the lifesaving equipment would be distributed across Nanango at community clubs, schools and the Heritage Nanango branch.
“Heritage Bank Nanango Community Branch, together with our joint venture partner Heritage Nanango Community Funding (HNCF), first supported the supply of AEDs in the Nanango area back in 2015 and it’s great to see this continue,” Mr Ezzy said.
“Given those AEDs are nearly 10 years old, organisations were finding it harder and harder to maintain them. These new models take advantage of any advances in technology and make it easier for future maintenance.
“While we hope we don’t have to use them, having more of these devices readily accessible throughout the community increases the potential to save someone’s life,” Mr Ezzy said.
HNCF Director Jane Hodgkinson said, "We are very proud to partner with the Nanango Local Ambulance Committee to give our community the tools - and the confidence - to help save lives. It's a great example of local people backing local needs."
