John Minz is Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Bank. He has held this position since late 2003 and has been with Heritage since 1993.
He joined Heritage as Head of Internal Audit, a position that enabled the former Brisbane resident, and graduate from both University of Queensland and QUT, to gain a detailed understanding of Heritage and its operations.
In 1998 he was promoted into general management and held the position of General Manager - Technology and Distribution Planning. In this position he was responsible for Information Technology and the use of technology in banking. He introduced internet banking at Heritage and also had the responsibility for the various automated distribution channels including internet banking, phone banking and the ATM channel.
In the late 90s he sponsored an organisation-wide business reengineering project. This capped off his understanding of core banking processes, as well as creating opportunities for the introduction of a number of technology-based loan processing systems.
In 2002 John was made Assistant CEO and the Contact Centre was added to his existing responsibilities. Since becoming CEO, John has overseen growth in products, portfolios, the branch distribution channel and sponsored significant investment in infrastructure required to operate a modern financial institution. |
