Proceeds from Heritage Bank’s 2019 calendar will help Wynnum Manly District Meals On Wheels deliver nutritious meals to Bayside residents needing a bit of help.
Wynnum Manly District Meals On Wheels met with the Heritage Bank team at our Carindale branch and they were happy to present $3594 from sales of the 2019 Heritage Bank Calendar to support their important work.
About 30,000 meals per year are produced and delivered by Wynnum Manly District Meals On Wheels, who have moved into a new facility with an industrial kitchen and meeting hall.
Carindale Branch Lender Ryan Hennessy said it was rewarding to help Wynnum Manly District Meals On Wheels with the important work they do in the community.
“They’re actually a customer of ours. We have been looking after their money for about 10 years now. They have got a really good relationship with the branch,” he said.
“There are a lot of people that need additional support. They are definitely going to help quite a lot of people.”
Each year since 1982, Heritage has chosen a prominent Queensland house to feature on its annual calendar to help celebrate excellence in local architecture.
Customers and community members can obtain a copy of the calendar for a gold coin donation, with the proceeds then donated to a number of charities across southern Queensland.
