Heritage’s Visa Card again in top 10% for outstanding value
Heritage Bank’s Visa Classic No Frills card has again been awarded five stars for outstanding value by the independent rating agency, Canstar.
The top rating in the occasional spender category puts it in the top 5-10 per cent of cards surveyed last month (April 2013).
The “occasional spender” category looks at cards that offer the best value for occasional large purchases that are paid off slowly. Cards are compared on interest rates, free days, annual fees, credit limits and reward programs.
Heritage CEO Mr John Minz said the independent five-star rating was good news for customers.
“Our Visa Classic No Frills Visa card has been a consistent top performer in this category, achieving the five-star award in each rating period over the past three years,” Mr Minz said.
“It gives a lot of credibility to this credit card product for it to be rated as one of the very best across a broad range of cards from other lenders.
“I’m also pleased that both our Classic No Frills and Gold No Frills Visa cards were awarded the second highest rating of four stars in the habitual spender category.”
The “habitual spender” category covers continual spending on credit with a constant running balance that accrues interest.
