Heritage scores highest customer satisfaction rating in Queensland.
Heritage Building Society has out-performed all other banking institutions in Queensland to score the highest customer satisfaction rating in the latest Roy Morgan Research Consumer Finance Survey.
Heritage scored an 88% customer satisfaction rating – higher than any other bank, building society or credit union in Queensland - for the six months to April.
The Society easily out-performed the four big banks, which had a combined satisfaction rating of just 72.8%.
Heritage’s performance was even better for those customers who considered the Society their main financial institution, with a satisfaction rating of 90.4%.
CEO John Minz said the survey results clearly demonstrated that members found greater satisfaction from choosing to do their banking with Heritage.
“The difference is simple – Heritage continues to put People first in everything we do, and our members see benefits in the quality of service and products we deliver to them,” he said.
“Heritage is a mutual, which means we exist to serve our members. We don’t have to pay dividends to shareholders like the big banks, so we give our profits back to members by offering a low-cost, service-orientated banking experience.
“We go the extra mile for our members, with competitive deposit and lending rates, a great range of products, fairer fees and a People first philosophy.”
The benefits of that philosophy were also recognised on a national scale this month, with Heritage taking out the Building Society of the Year award at the 20th Annual Australian Banking & Finance Awards held in Sydney.
It was seventh time in the last nine years that Heritage has taken out the title. John Minz was also a finalist in the Financial Services Executive of the Year category in those awards.
Headquartered in Toowoomba, the heart of the Darling Downs, Heritage is Australia’s largest building society with more than $7 billion in total consolidated assets.
With a 135-year history, Heritage provides a full suite of retail and business banking products, insurance and financial planning products and services to members via Heritage products and through alliances with specialist providers.
Heritage members have access to a network of 130 retail outlets throughout south east Queensland, and has broker services in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and the ACT.
