Heritage makes it easy to switch

Switching your banking to Heritage Building Society is easier than you think – it takes just a few simple steps to start enjoying the benefits of an alternative that always puts People first.

Heritage CEO John Minz said many people were sick of the way the big banks treated them, but wrongly assumed it was too much hassle to switch their accounts to an alternative.

But Mr Minz said Heritage had steps in place to simplify the process, including an automatic letter generator to advise third parties of your new details.

“If you are fed up with the big banks, don’t just complain about them, vote with your feet and discover the superb overall performance you can get from the alternative in Heritage Building Society,” Mr Minz said.

“We don’t have to pay out huge dividends to shareholders, so our profits go back to our members through the great products, interest rates and service we provide.

“That’s why our standard variable interest rate remains 0.345% lower than the average of the big banks; its why we are Australia’s biggest building society; and it’s why we have the highest customer satisfaction rate of any financial institution in Queensland, according to Roy Morgan Research.”

Mr Minz said all you had to do to make the switch was

  • Contact a Heritage branch or our contact centre to open up new accounts
  • Gather up the details of your regular direct debits and credits involving third parties (e.g. telephone and electricity bills, car repayment details, share dividends)
  • Use the automatic letter generator that Heritage has developed to advise the third parties of your new account details
  • Close the old accounts
  • Enjoy the benefits of becoming a Heritage member!

Heritage staff members are only too happy to help out anyone looking to make the switch. For any more information, drop into one of Heritage’s 59 branches across south-east Queensland or call the contact centre on 13 14 22.
