Heritage calendar donations assist RACQ CareFlight critical missions
Heritage Building Society has contributed vital funds to RACQ CareFlight Rescue with a cheque for $3,580.
Every year RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s iconic blue and yellow helicopters help more than 700 sick or injured patients. This life-saving service requires ongoing support from the local community to continue its essential operations.
The funds were raised through gold coin donations made from the 2009 Heritage Building Society Calendar that features the heritage-listed residential property Barambah Station.
With a 28 year history, each year the Heritage calendar raises essential funds for local charities while featuring and raising public awareness of Queensland’s architectural heritage.
Heritage CEO John Minz said that Heritage is committed to building local communities throughout south-east Queensland.
“Heritage is proud to assist organisations that supply vital services to south-east Queensland and this donation is just another example of the assistance we give back to the local community,” he said.
RACQ Careflight spokesperson Lisa Douglas says the contribution from Heritage is a welcome boost for the rescue charity.
“Without the support of organisations like Heritage, it would be impossible for us to provide our vital service to the people of southern Queensland and beyond. Thanks to generosity from the community, we can keep our choppers flying,” she said.
