What is NPP?

The New Payments Platform (NPP) is a payments infrastructure in the Australian financial industry that makes getting paid or paying someone simple and fast. Instead of waiting for up to several days for payments to be ‘cleared’ between financial institutions, you can use NPP to send and receive money in near real time with participating financial institutions. These payments are called 'Faster Payments'.
