Transfer money

Accessible under the transfers menu in Heritage Online

This function will allow you to electronically transfer funds from one of your account to another account; either within your membership, to another membership or to an account at another Australian financial institution. 

How to set up transfers on your Heritage account

Go to Transfer > Transfer Money and complete the following details: 

From Account 

Select which account you would like money to come from.


Select which account you would like to pay money to.

If you'd like to add a new payee, key in the new account number and BSB or Account Type.

  • Account type is the code associated with a Heritage account ie. S1 or L1
  • BSB must be in the format NNN-NNN
  • Account number can be up to 9 numerical digits
  • If you are transferring to another bank, you'll also need to enter in an account name which can be up to 32 characters long

Save payee?

Select whether you wish to save the payee to your list of Heritage Interbank Payees to make it quicker next time.


Enter in the amount you wish to transfer.


Enter in a reference for the transfer.

Perform Transfer*

Select whether you would like to perform the transfer 'Now' or 'Later'. If you choose to 'Transfer Later' you will need to select:

  • First Transfer Date (when the first instance of the transfer should occur)
  • A Frequency from the 'Frequency' drop-down menu
  • If you select a frequency other than "Once Only" select how long the scheduled transfer should continue for (a specific date or indefinitely)

Next & Confirm

Once you are happy with the transfer details click the 'Next' button.

This will take you to a secondary screen to confirm your transfer details. If the Payee to whom you are wishing to transfer funds is a new payee then the next screen will indicate this and ask you to request your One Time Password to your mobile, or enter in your Pay Anyone Password to authorise the addition of the new Payee. 

Transfer Complete

When the transfer is successfully completed, a receipt page for the transfer will be shown with a green message saying ‘transfer successful’. If you chose to 'Transfer Later' the transfer will not have happened but will have been 'Scheduled'.

You will also receive a confirmatory email if you have provided us with an email address on your account.  

How to set up automatic transfers to a Heritage credit product

You can set up transfers to a Heritage credit product that will automatically calculate your repayment amount:

  1. Follow the transfer money process above but leave the 'amount' section blank
  2. Select the option to perform transfer later.
  3. The Optional Payment Instructions section will appear which will allow you to select the repayment option (see below) and frequency you want.
  4. Click 'next' and complete your transfer as normal. 


Optional Payment Instructions

For Credit Card or Line of Credit accounts: 

You have the option to choose one of the following repayment types, if funds are available in your account: 

  • MinPay – the minimum repayment amount on your statement due date

  • DuePay – the amount due on your statement, payable on the due date

  • BalPay - the complete outstanding amount on your credit card on a given day during the month

For a Personal Loan or Home Loan: 

You can set to 'pay the current repayment amount, on the date you choose'. 

This will divide your required monthly payment by the frequency of repayments you have selected. 

For example: If your monthly repayment is $2000 and you have selected the ‘Weekly’ payment option, your payment per week will be set to $500; the monthly amount divided by four. 


  • If your monthly repayment amount changes, then the weekly amount will also change in the next payment cycle.

  • This calculation will not take into account the number of payments that will be taken before your first automatic repayment, so please ensure you will have made sufficient payment to cover the amount of your first repayment.
