Heritage Charity Golf Day raises money for community organisations

Nearly 200 members of the business community braved the heat, which peaked at 37 degrees, took to the City Golf Club fairways for last Friday’s 22nd annual Heritage Charity Golf Day.

This event has made a great contribution to communities and charity organisations across southern Queensland over the past two decades, with this year’s event taking the total amount raised over 22 years past the $850,000 mark.

Money raised this year will go to some worthy organisations, which are working hard to improve the lives of others.

Heritage Bank CEO Peter Lock said: “We’re really passionate about supporting people and the communities they live in. That’s why were absolutely delighted to see the continued success of the Heritage Charity Golf Day.

“The golf day is an opportunity to bring the business community together for the benefit of all. Funds raised go towards helping a large number of community organisations continue their important work. 

“As the saying goes, ‘it takes a village’ and each year we’re blown away by the support and goodwill from everyone involved.”

  • Hope Horizons
  • Ipswich Hospice
  • Lifeline Darling Downs and South-West Queensland
  • Oz Harvest
  • Safe Haven Community
  • St John Ambulance Queensland
  • Table Tennis Toowoomba
  • The Sunlight Centre
  • Toowoomba Women’s Shed
  • PCYC

Heritage will present the funds to beneficiaries at a special presentation next year.
