Summer Intern Program

Heritage Bank has proudly launched its first Summer Intern Program, aimed at students studying in the fields of information security, data engineering, business analytics, and technology. The internship is fully paid and offers students a chance to work on real projects, in the field. Where possible, Heritage will work with interns to align the work they do to course work outcomes.  

Heritage is offering four positions in partnership with USQ and one position in partnership with Baidam Solutions. Internships runs from November-February.

About the internships

Business Process Analyst

Working alongside a mentor, our Business Process Analyst interns gain exposure in anumber of Information Technology areas such as desktop service and support and service management, capability (understanding and adapting processes) and more. Data Engineer

Working alongside a mentor, our Data Engineering interns gain exposure to all of Heritage Bank systems, working PYTHON and other programs to gather data and provide data insights to our internal stakeholders.  Read the position description to find out exactly what our Data Engineering interns do, and what is expected of them.

Baidam Internship – Information Security Officer  

In partnership with Baidam Solutions, our Baidam intern will work alongside Heritage Bank’s Chief Information Security Officer to gain on-the-job experience in the field of IT security. This internship supports Baidam Solutions – a 100% owned and operated First Nations information technology business – with their commitment to “bridging the gap” of indigenous representation in the IT Security sector. Read the positions description to find out exactly what our Information Security Officer Summer intern does, and what is expected of them.
