Heritage has put in place a range of measures to assist people affected by Queensland’s devastating floods.
- Heritage understands that the floods may cause financial difficulties for people who have been affected. Heritage has in place an ongoing hardship policy that can help members in such a position. Members who are struggling financially as a result of the floods are urged to contact 1800 222 030 during business hours to discuss their situation.
- Heritage members with insurance through Allianz should contact 1300 555 030 for information about any potential claims, We encourage members who have suffered a loss to submit a claim as the insurer will take into account all of the circumstances of the particular incident when assessing each claim.
- All Heritage branches affected by flooding have now reopened, apart from Bellbowrie Community Branch, which is in a shopping centre so badly affected by the floods that it is closed indefinitely. Members who previously used Bellbowrie Branch are advised to consider using Karalee, Mt Ommaney or Indooroopilly branches.
- All Heritage mini-branches affected by floods have re-opened, except at Fairfield.
- Heritage has donated $100,000 to the Premier’s Flood Appeal and has urged those who have escaped flood damage to dig deep and also make a contribution.
- Heritage has also donated an additional $30,000 in grants to two flood recovery appeals in the Toowoomba region - $15,000 to the Grantham Flood Support appeal and a further $15,000 to the Toowoomba Disaster Appeal set up by the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
